The media, what has been called the 4th Branch of Government, has been eerily silent despite the incredible power grab that is taking place in our government and around the world. For an institution that prides itself with “speaking truth to power,” journalists have been quite comfortable allowing the powerful to seize liberty from the people so long as a Republican is not responsible. Ask yourself if you heard more about Emanuel’s “sharp elbows” versus his involvement with the present financial crisis?
